UNDERDOGS

The marginated youth life is now a topic in focus broadly covered by Scandinavian media.

 

This brought us to think of the “maras”, the other continent and some decades back, but presumably similar survival patterns and strategies assumed by youth. We will look at these marginalised criminal street gangs, and their forms of expression - such as hip hop music, street dance - their survival through beat, roughness, fight, physicality.
We explore further what a European ghetto is like and show the audience that one has to talk about ghettos outside the «developing world». Ghettos are prevalent all over.
